Your child will develop communication skills such as turn taking while listening and sharing ideas through communicating with some of the students in the classroom. By using the Australian curriculum,  your child will be able work in a small group with other students to increase communication skills by designing a talking dinosaur and presenting it for show and tell.

Australian content description: Construct texts featuring print, visual and audio elements using software, including word processing programs. (ACELY1674).

Students will be working in small groups to create their dinosaur in the computer. We will then transfer their group work to the the interactive whiteboard (IWB) in the classroom for children's show and tell. The computer and the IWB will enhance your child to communicate and work collaboratively and contribute to the learning of others.  The reason why I choose these ICT tools in the classroom is to facilitate multisensory learning experience which is collaborative and provides hands on learning experience for the students.

Please click on (create a dinosaur) link below and you can use this resource on your own free time with your child to create a dinosaur.
